How Does It Work?

  1. I will prepare your customised wine tour itinerary, make reservations at the best chateaux and restaurants, and introduce you to one of the most experienced independent Bordeaux guides who will take you around.
  2. Prepayment/booking fee will be asked in order to proceed with chateaux reservations and itinerary preparation.  Payments by major credit cards are accepted.
  3. The chateaux tasting fees and lunch are extra and payable directly to the wineries/restaurants. I will prepare an estimate of the total fees for you before your tour.
  4. Transportation fee will be paid directly to your guide/driver that I will refer and book for you.
  5. Participation in any of the tours and activities offered on this site is subject to the Terms of Service and the Standard Cancellation Policy.

What's Next?

1. Receive Confirmation

I will confirm your date availability within 48 hours, but usually much sooner.

2. Booking Fee

I will share a booking fee payment link in advance of going ahead with winery reservations. This fee will be non-refundable.

3. Your Itinerary

Tell me all about your interests. I will present your detailed personalized itinerary and pick-up instructions and introduce you to your guide, who is an independent partner of Atlas Bordeaux. Most winery visits in Bordeaux are strictly by appointment. I try to reserve the best wineries for you available on your date. If you are requesting specific wineries, it may take longer to confirm availability.

4. Welcome to Bordeaux!

Meet with your guide and enjoy the scenery and the fine wines of Bordeaux! Pay the fees of your guide/driver/chateaux and your meals to a restaurant on the day of your tour.

Small Font

Private tours can be organized for any date of the week between April and October. Tours are running between November to March, but some chateaux may be closed on the weekends and between Christmas and the New Year's Day. There is limited availability of chateaux visits during the last week of April due to En Primeurs.

Some wineries require advance notice to book, it is never too early to request visits at famous chateaux. It is easier to visit top names off-season.

Kids can usually attend the chateaux tours for free. Minimum drinking age is 18 years old. Some chateaux offer special visits for kids.

Small amount of walking is involved. You can expect uneven surfaces and multiple stairs.

I am an independent consultant not associated with a travel agency, transportation company or a chateau. I help you plan an unforgettable visit to Bordeaux.
