5 Casual Restaurants in Bordeaux

I am often asked where locals go out to eat. Here is a list of my personal favorites for a casual Bordeaux-style dinner.

My recent find is this small restaurant in the center of Bordeaux in the Saint-James neighborhood where I live.

Excellent French food with a modern twist, very friendly and chic atmosphere.

Reservations are recommended.

Always fresh fish and oysters. Open 7 days a week, this restaurant is in the middle of the Saint-Pierre Quarter night life, which makes it a great spot for people watching.

Check out this restaurant for a casual French dinner. Their dining room is on the second floor of a classical Bordeaux building.

Praised as one of the best pizza places in Bordeaux with locals lining up for a table every night.

A bit of a modern legend of Bordeaux. Creative cuisine by a young chef.

Some restaurants are closed on Sundays and Mondays and some days in January, July, and August.  Always check before you go.

I highly recommend making a reservation.

Enjoy dining in Bordeaux!
