Description

Discover the charm of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Bordeaux’s most captivating and beautiful wine regions. Saint-Émilion is home to prestigious appellations such as Saint-Émilion Grand Cru and Pomerol, where winemakers craft elegant, age-worthy wines primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Saint-Émilion is home to over 800 wineries, mainly smaller wine producers. You will find interesting family wineries, traditional estates and biodynamic wineries.

During your private tour, you’ll visit a hand-picked selection of renowned Grand Cru Classé estates or family estates, explore their historic cellars carved into limestone, and learn about the region’s centuries-old viticultural traditions. You can stop in the medieval village of Saint-Émilion, walk the cobblestone streets and visit its monuments.

About Saint-Émilion

The Saint-Émilion wine region lies on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, where colder clay and limestone soils produce wines known for their depth, finesse, and velvety texture. The medieval village itself is a jewel of architecture, filled with stone houses, winding lanes, and panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are winery tasting fees included?

No. Our tours are fully customized for each guest. We can arrange wine tastings according to your interests and budget. Winery tasting fees will be due only after your personalized itinerary has been prepared and confirmed.

Can I choose which châteaux to visit?

We will be delighted to organize and pre-book your preferred winery visits, provided the estates are open to the public and have availability on your travel dates.

Please note that while many Bordeaux châteaux welcome visitors, some prestigious estates — such as Château Cheval Bland, Petrus and a few others — remain closed to the public. We cannot guarantee that your specific preferred wineries will be open or available, but we will always secure similar or next best options.

Availability inquiries and reservations at the châteaux are made only after your private wine tour has been confirmed with us.

Is lunch included?

No. We will schedule time for you to enjoy lunch during the tour. We’ll be happy to reserve a table at a local restaurant or brasserie or arrange an exclusive winery lunch with pairing.  There are several Michelin-star restaurants in and around the village of Saint-Émilion.

Can I buy wine on a tour?

Yes. Most châteaux offer select (usually recent) vintages in their boutiques.  You can buy and ship wine to your home. Wine shops in Saint-Émilion have a good selection of Bordeaux wines.

Can I bring children on a tour?

Of course, children are welcome to join private tours when accompanied and supervised by an adult. Most wineries do not charge visit fees for children, but please make sure to mention their ages when booking your tour.

You can also request child-friendly experiences — some Bordeaux châteaux offer special activities designed for families.

Please note that wine tasting and alcohol consumption are strictly limited to guests of legal drinking age in their country of origin.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please refer to the standard Cancellation Policy.
